Sapphire, Turquoise, Denim and Wedgewood tones can all make great choices for a bridal ‘something blue’ but choosing the best shade isn’t always easy. Deborah Lippmann, one of our favorite nail gurus, offers some skilled advice, “Blue is best on cool skin tones because it’s a cool shade. That will make the shade a little more wearable.”

Major beauty brand Maybelline recently launched its new Color Show Nail Lacquer Collection which includes seven different shades of blue along with a new app from Blippar that enables you to ‘virtually’ try on all their new nail shades. It’s fast, free and easy to use. This is a great way to experiment without the expense and waste of tossing shades that don’t work on your skin tone.
