Tweezing vs. Waxing vs. Threading
Wondering how to get your best brow now? Read on.
Inarguably the eyebrows are the single most important feature on your face. In an instant they can add a decade or take it away. They can make you look quizzical or sad, but ideally they give your face the perfect punctuation. In fact, getting your brows ‘done’ is almost like a mini-face lift.
But don’t take my word for it. Here’s what Global Brow Expert at Benefit Cosmetics, Hilary Foote, has to say on the subject. Foote confirms, “The right eyebrow grooming can enhance your look in seconds. At Benefit Brow Boutiques, the Benefit-trained aestheticians never try to change the natural shape of your brows; we just enhance what you already have. The brow you are born with is always the best, however everyone needs a little polishing to help get the most out of what you have.”
For brides, Foote recommends having brows assessed two months before the wedding day. This will give you and your brow expert time to get them in tip-top shape. Since most brow grooming lasts approximately 3-4 weeks this gives you ample time to have them done at least twice before, which will help insure fabulous brows on the big day. If you’ve passed the two-month mark, then make sure you have them groomed one week prior to the wedding day.
In the name of beauty research (ahem!) my co-workers and I recently spent a morning with the Benefit team at their new jewel-box of a boutique in downtown Manhattan and let the experts tend to our unruly brow hairs.
