10 Minutes With: Marchesa

From designing iconic red carpet moments to dressing Hollywood’s A-list for their Big Day, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig of Marchesa have built a fashion empire. We set our sights on the St. Regis Hotel in New York City to view the designers’ new spring collection and chat with the style mavens about all things bridal. What we found was a collection filled with a beautiful mix of romanticism and elegance and two incredibly chic women. Here’s what makes a Marchesa bride:

What was your big inspiration behind your new Spring 2016 collection?
We’re romantics at heart. We start out with mood boards and hope to create looks that speak to every bride while still being quintessentially Marchesa. We try to provide a wide range of silhouettes and styles that appeal to all different types of women.

What are your favorite details this season?
This season we’re using blossoms in new ways, with 3 dimensional florals and feather flowers. Signature silhouettes are infused with the most enchanting details.

You’ve dressed some of the biggest trendsetters from Leandra Medine to Nicole Richie on their wedding day. Do you have a favorite bridal moment?
Each bride is so special in her own way. It’s wonderful for us to be a part of a bride’s Big Day, so we really enjoy the entire experience. We can’t pick a favorite!

From dresses to fine jewelry, we’re loving the bridal bling you designed!
Thank you, the Marchesa Eternal Collection has been so much fun for us. Working with diamonds- that’s one of our favorite collections to do for obvious reasons!

We can’t talk about bridal without mentioning makeup and hair. Any advice?
For this collection we wanted to go with something that’s classic but very feminine and allows the dress to speak for itself. We worked with Moroccan Oil for hair and Bobbi Brown for makeup, and they came to us with the concept, we love a fresh look for brides!
