Watters Bridal

There’s never a shortage of great ideas and fabulous dresses from Watters Brides. For their Fall 2012 line-up, we went gaga for dress after dress. Looking for a sleek look? They’ve got it. Full on lace? Yep, that too. Totally tulle? Uh-huh. There is a dress to suit every bride for every day of the year…well, almost.

The Watters Brides & Wtoo Brides collections are all about texture. Fluttering layers, ruffles, slinky satins, cut taffeta spirals, lattice beading, lace appliques and so on. If you can imagine it, it’s probably in the collection.  We loved the pretty shots of color that were included.

The Jeanne is a slinky 1930’s style charmeuse column in soft dove grey. With its low-cut draped front and wrapped cowl back, it manages to be both sexy and wearable. The Gabrielle gown in dusty peach is layer upon layer of handkerchief-hem chiffon with a flowery strapless bust, perhaps channeling 70s songstress Stevie Nicks for a true Boho moment.

The Camilla gown is a pretty shade of light champagne taffeta with a snugly draped strapless bodice and full natural waisted ball skirt decorated with cut taffeta floral swirls. So romantic, and ideal for that rustic garden wedding. The Watters Brides' Dove gown is a major statement ball gown cut in layers of ruffled tulle in the most unusual shade of dusty plum.  Not to worry though, there are plenty of fantastic whites and ivories here as well.

There is a wonderful formality to the collection this season, with beautifully cut silhouettes that flatter, sparkling hints of beading that glisten and special touches that make each dress unique and oh so covetable.

Juicy, pigmented shades, abstract floral prints and neutrals that flatter all skin tones in easy, wearable mini, knee-length and long styles give your bridal party an amazing variety to chose from. Try one or all of the trio of nude & golden floral print short dresses for a pretty outdoor ceremony. If bold tones feel like the right choice for your girls, the cobalt and crimson chiffon and taffeta dresses will add punch to your party.

Not only were we lucky enough to preview the Spring 2012 collections from Watters, but we were also given a sneak peek at their brand new dress line called D.I.D (stands for Designed in Dallas). This new capsule collection is for today’s party-girl with well priced minis and glamorous fitted gowns that have a distinctly modern, fun look that typifies the Watters philosophy for chic, of the moment dresses that are accessible to everyone.
