In what has become one of the hottest new collections to watch, we were delighted by this gorgeous pearl-inspired lineup for the Fall 2012 bride.

Yes, there were pearls everywhere: pearl-tinted hues; pearl teardrops and beads;  Mother-of-Pearl covered necklines and belts. Pearls can sometimes feel more granny than glammy, but designer Don O’Neill kept it neat, modern and very youthful. Rows of delicate pearls covered a short, swingy tank dress; the empire bodice of a soft, silk chiffon gown is beaded with large chunky pearls and flowers; and a sexy mini slip dress looks as though it’s raining drops and drops of pearls.

In a wow moment moving away from the natural, pearly delights O’Neill made sure we were paying attention. Out came a lace tuxedo. A soft, flowery-lace single breasted jacket topped with high-waisted, matching wide leg trousers. A slinky satin t-shirt and non-chalant tie completed this look. We love alternatives to traditional wedding garb, and this one is out of the box, but still manages to say ʻwedding.ʼ

And while the tuxedo might be the ideal style for the more masculine-inclined, Theiaʼs most womanly dress had us on the edge of our seats. Capturing the screen-goddess mood, O'Neill's bias silk charmeuse gown with a high collar and yoke is decorated with rows of pretty pearls and oversized Mother-of-Pearl flowers. Part Deco-Divine and part Tribal-Princess, we loved the soft yet saucy look.
