If you’re the kind of girl that likes a little beading with her beading…then the Spring 2012 Lazaro collection was designed with you in mind. Lazaro Perez let loose with mountains of tulle, lace and organza all delicately and beautifully beaded, embroidered and trimmed in crystals, pearls, ribbons and ruffles.
Slim, elongated torsos and silhouettes were the perfect foil for Lazaro’s surface decorations. If you’re raving about ruffles, then Lazaro’s organza wave (the new ruffle) mermaid and matching bolero could be your dream dress.
Or, try one of his his sexy corset gowns with wild ruffled ball skirts. Pretty jeweled belts exquisitely wrapped waists. Try one with a touch of turquoise, a new nod to the ‘something blue’ tradition. But the real star of the collection is Lazaro’s beading. Flowers, vines, tiny starbursts and full-on Rococo style bead-work are his specialty, giving dresses magical touches of light and glimmer.
Lazaro’s finale gown, in a divine shade of peach sherbet, glitters with golden swirls and flourish beads on a drop-waist torso tulle gown. Talk about drama. One of our favorites is a very simple, sleek shiny satin trumpet gown with a fully bugle-beaded bodice trimmed in shiny crystals. The skirt is completely unadorned giving this gown a serenely modern feel.
But perhaps like you, we too delight in all-out girlish glamour with yards of fabric and fluff and boundless amounts of beading. Thankfully there’s never a shortage of all things fabulous in a Lazaro collection.
NOIR BY LAZARO
It turns out the Little Black dress can also be lavender, taupe, rose or indigo. In an attempt to give brides and bridesmaids some chic, dressy options Lazaro hits a high note with his new group of Noir dresses. Perfectly proportioned pencil skirted, A-line and pretty bubble skirted dresses with just the right amount of frou, these frocks will have girls making up excuses just to wear them.
The little lace dresses in the t-shirt and one-shoulder styles will last beyond the big day while the swirly wave and organza overskirted dress are ready to twirl on the dance-floor all night long. The indigo and lavender shades are dusty and sophisticated, not quite purple, not quite blue. Mini or full-length, there’s a lot to love in this little collection.
