Always a collection seeped in the tradition of high glamour, Kenneth Pool’s spring lineup took a decidedly softer, lighter turn for the new season. Tulle, lace, beading and embroidery on soft, sheer fabrics were the stars of this show, with touches of shiny, duchess satin making cameo appearances throughout.
We absolutely adored the lightness and fresh, modern sensibility of Kenneth Pool for Spring 2013. The Rio gown took top honors with its sexy fitted sweetheart neckline bodice and its frilled, tiered tulle skirt dotted in clear paillettes. This modern touch of sparkle coupled with full-on beaded, embroidered sheaths gives brides endless options.
Another highlight: Pool’s ball gowns were light as air confections. Big, juicy layered tulle ball skirts topped with sexy, corset bodices. The nod to lingerie and wedding day underpinnings was cheeky, charming and very, very sweet. But a Kenneth Pool collection is never complete without sexy, sculpted silhouettes that give the female form a dramatic visage. Tightly wrapped mermaids in tulle and gorgeous, gleaming satins round out one of our favorite shows of the week.
