Known for a uniquely artistic take on the traditional bridal gown, Junko Yoshioka's collection for Fall 2011 took a turn towards the romantic. Her more artisanal gowns were modern but soft around the edges. Yoshioka's cut, layered organza in a loopy leaf pattern found its way onto a sweet natural-waist ball gown, but also onto a mod sheath dress, ideal for the leggiest among us.
Her silk Mikado trumpet fit and flare is for the body conscious bride who likes a little touch of drama. The matching bias-cut cape drapes elegantly around the shoulders and adds that wow factor.
Yoshioka shared her softer side with us this season with frilled tulle edges, layered ball skirts and detachable peplums. They added a sweetness to her collection that we loved and we think brides will too.
