For Fall 2012, Elizabeth Fillmore gives brides a no holds barred uber-sexy, hyper-sophisticated collection. Each dress is its own complete thought, its own work of art. Fillmore’s skill is apparent at the turn of each dress, the hand-draping, hand-embroidery and perfect proportions.

Fillmore’s short dresses, Iris and Fleur, balance abbreviated silhouettes with lace, frill and flowers. They might be short on length, but not on chic. Her two-piece Brigitte gown feels like a naughty turn-of-the-century bride. Its organza ribbon & lace corset with charming peplum sits over a peachy duchess satin trumpet skirt. There’s nothing demure about Brigitte. She’s a pale fire, smokin’ hot.

But Fillmore also knows when to button it up too. The Camilla, an exquisite trumpet shaped gown of corded floral lace has long sheer sleeves and three-dimensional floral lace appliques perfectly placed at the neckline. A lovely hand-painted silk flower corsage perches at the waist, adding a tiny burst of color.

The Elena, an organza ribbon lace slip gown stays under wraps with a matching capelet, delicately draped over the shoulders and tied with a sheer luscious bow in back.

Stepping into new territory, Fillmore embraces a bit of sparkle with her Nocturne dress. All air and light, the organza and tulle spiral skirt floats beneath a fitted linear metallic sequin bodice. Its curved strips of silk chiffon break any hard lines with their soft, floating appearance. The Nocturne is for a fearless bride.

From the whimsical headpieces and lacy jewels right down to the delicate lace straps on her lingerie-like slip gowns, this collection embodies the graceful spirit of Elizabeth Fillmore and her beautiful brides-to-be.
