Badgley Mischka

Mark Badgley and James Mischka have made their name celebrating good old- fashioned glamour and serving it up to women and brides on and off the red carpet. For their Fall 2012 collection, there’s no shortage of sparkle and sex appeal.

The Julia gown’s scrollwork, jeweled illusion back contrasts the slinky silk crepe column in a mash-up of modern and vintage. Art Deco details like crystal jeweled dress clips sit at the shoulders and down a deep plunging back on the Bess gown, a pearl satin-back crepe bias column. By far the sexiest and most daring of dresses is the Dolley. This satin-back crepe bias slither of a dress has a deep plunging cowl neck that’s artfully filled in with jeweled illusion, front and back.

Now if you’re not quite that brave, not to worry because there are plenty of stunning options to pick from. The Hilary gown is for the quintessential good girl. A soft fit-and-flare tulle skirt is topped with a pretty jeweled Chantilly lace bodice and straps. The Letitia gives a little bit of that Badgley Mischka va-va-voom without too much boom-boom. This sleek organza mermaid has jeweled bands under the bust and at the top of its pretty tiered tulle skirt.

Our favorite, the finale gown Abigail, is another perfect example of their brilliant mix of old and new. In clean, white silk taffeta, this capped sleeve ball gown gets trimmed with sparkling antique-inspired beading and a surprising plunge back.

These fellas sure know how to make a girl shine on her big day!
