Rita Vinieris cites New Hollywood as inspiration for her Spring 2013 Alyne collection, but we think you’ll agree no matter where you call home, this is a collection ideal for every young bride-to-be.
Sweet girlie silhouettes like swirling circle-skirted ball gowns, flattering trumpet shapes and swingy A-lines will work on any shape and size. Curvaceous sweetheart necklines, strategically sliced bodices and low, scooped out cowl-backs give definition to Vinieris’ secondary wedding collection.
The Jean dress, which a young Audrey Hepburn would have worn, has a high, square-cut neckline and looks very clean and modest from the front. But the back tells another story, giving more than a glimpse of skin with its low cut.
Today’s brides want to be chic and respectful without looking boring and bland. Vinieris’ pretty organza ball gowns, the Barbara and Shirley dresses, were among our favorites, giving off a hint of society style from another era (even their names are delightfully retro!) while remaining perfectly in the present with their lovely layers, sculpted bodices and boldly belted silhouettes.
