Wedding Announcements 101

As any wedding designer or planner will tell you, the practice of sending wedding announcements has gone by the wayside. These announcements were often sent to relatives and friends who were unable to travel to destination weddings, but have become a thing of the past as guests began to go the extra mile to attend. For the modern bride with classic style, we've pulled the most fabulous wedding announcements available right now.

When To Send Them
Ideally, wedding announcements should be sent the day after the wedding. However, in some cases it depends on the design and method in which you’re sending. If you’re looking to mail announcements featuring photos from the wedding day, you may request files from your photographer that have not been edited for expedited design.

What To Say
A traditional wedding announcement includes:
Names of you and your spouse
Wedding date
Wedding location
Note: if the wedding was hosted by the bride’s parents, the announcements will be presented from them.

Printed Wedding Announcements
Get creative! Decide if you want to use photographs from your wedding or a pre-designed layout.
