Tips For Taking It All In On Your Wedding Day

You've spent months planning your wedding and, just like that, the day has come and gone. Between the ceremony, your guests and your groom, it's important to slow down and take in every detail, so we've put together a list of 10 ways to help you do just that.

Organization Is Key
The key to being able to fully enjoy your wedding day is organization. Try to do everything you can prior to your wedding day so you can sit back and relax the day-of.

Set Realistic Expectations
It’s important to be in the right frame of mind before your wedding day. While it’s okay to expect the amazing day you always dreamed of, know that there is no such thing as perfect. Understanding that will help you stay calm and enjoy your day to the fullest.

Do Some Meditating
As soon as you wake up, your mind will be racing at 120 miles per hour. Slow down, take a deep breath and practice meditation or yoga for at least 10 minutes. Doing this will center your mind and body and get your blood circulating.

Go Unplugged
If there’s one piece of advice you need to take away from this article, it’s this: get off your phone. In fact, consider leaving it with someone else for the day. Your nearest and dearest are by your side, so there’s no reason to be texting, Snapchatting, Instagramming, etc.

Consider A ‘First Look’
This is where the bride and groom see each other for the first time before the walk down the aisle. This allows the couple to have a private moment that’s still every bit exciting and romantic. With a first look, the bride and groom also have the opportunity to take photographs before the ceremony, which will give more time to relax with guests at the cocktail hour.

Get A Glimpse of The Dining Room
Sneak away from your cocktail hour for 10 minutes and get a glimpse of the dining area before your guests take their seats. You and your groom will have a chance to take in every beautiful detail at your leisure.

Forget The Camera
It’s only natural to wonder how you look in front of the camera and be aware of its presence, but do yourself a favor and forget it’s even there. The best photographers will make the greatest effort to get amazing shots without getting in the way, so leave it in their hands. Besides, the memories you make are far more important than the perfect photograph

Acknowledge Your Guests
Take time to thank your guests and speak with each of them individually. Dance with them on the dance floor and let them know you appreciate their attendance.

Keep It Manageable
If the guest list has extended to an overwhelming number, scale back. Doing so will allow you to celebrate with your nearest and dearest to the fullest potential.

Put Things In Perspective
Lastly, have fun! This day is for celebrating, so forget about the things that didn’t go exactly as you had planned and focus on the positive. You just married the love of your life! That’s pretty special.
