Who says Friday the 13th has to be bad luck?

On July 13th, 2012, Catherine and Joseph wed in Narragansett, Rhode Island, and there was nothing but good luck to be found. The couple planned a ceremony combining Catholic traditions with personal avant-garde touches. As Catherine puts it, they “buffed up” the traditions to make the celebration a day all their own.

Surrounded by the beautiful ocean air, they gathered friends and family for a day that was all about their guests. They put together a day where guests could dress up, according to the “creative black tie” dress code, enjoy a delicious meal and celebrate the couple’s marriage.

As a liquor and wine distributor, for brands including Moët & Chandon, Catherine served only the best throughout the evening. During the cocktail hour, guests sipped on the couple’s signature Del’arita cocktail – a combination of 1800 Silver Tequila, Del’s lemonade and Cointreau – or a glass of Moët Imperial. They also served an apropos pairing of sliders and a shot of Narragansett Summer Lager.

At a seated dinner, the couple offered another specialty cocktail, as well as a beer menu full of their favorite microbrews. Joseph and Catherine both have backgrounds in the restaurant industry and loved coming up with cocktails to pair with their menu.

The personalized touches didn’t end there. If cake wasn’t enough, guests were treated to a Ben & Jerry’s Sunday Bar for a delicious sugar rush. For those looking to indulge a little more, a cigar roller and whiskey bar was there to tempt. And for some extra fun, a photo booth with silly props and the release of wish lanterns at the end of the night capped off the joyful mood.

And the celebration didn’t end there! As a favor, the couple provided mimosa kits – a split of Moët & Chandon and a bottle of Tropicana – for their guests to take home and enjoy the next morning.

Friday the 13th sounds pretty lucky, after all.
