6 Pippa Middleton-Inspired Wedding Ideas
Colin's Picks For Pippa's Big Day
The most famous bridesmaid in the world is officially off the market! Pippa Middleton recently got engaged to her hedge fund beau, James Matthews. He popped the question on Sunday, July 17th while on vacation in the Lake District of England and we could not be more excited for these two lovebirds. As we all know, Pippa stunned at her big sister Kate’s wedding with an ensemble that will go down as the most talked about bridesmaid dress in history. With that said, we can’t wait to see what Pippa will wear for her big day, the decisions she'll make for it to be uniquely her own, and how her personal style will shine through.
Read on for Colin’s Picks for Pippa:
I predict a juxtaposition of feminine and contemporary with a regal flare. While a stately venue would be a great backdrop, I imagine an overall look of understated elegance would be more Pippa’s cup of tea. (No pun intended).
The Color Scheme
As for the color scheme, I love the idea of rose quartz and serenity – 2016’s Pantone of the Year. For her walk down the aisle, I imagine Pippa with a soft bouquet full of blush roses, anemones, dusty miller, and wild mixed berries. Airy, blush chiffon linens accented with serenity blue table settings will provide the ultimate backdrop for the reception. A romantic, feminine, and classic aesthetic comes to mind when picturing Pippa’s big day.
I imagine the dress will be the most talked about part of the entire wedding! I would love to see Pippa in a long, full dress – a complete departure from what she wore at her sister’s royal affair. Galia Lahav, Hayley Paige, and Naeem Khan are all amazing designers that I know would jump at the chance to dress this stunning bride-to-be.
The Maid Of Honor
Given that Kate is chic enough to regularly outfit-repeat, I love the idea of her donning this elegant blush pink pantsuit to the wedding. Talk about becoming the new most famous bridesmaid of all time!
I envision a modern shape for Pippa. I absolutely love these Nicholas Kirkwood heels in nude that have the unexpected element of a traditional pearl.
Every bride needs a meaningful “something borrowed.” I imagine Pippa wearing the diamond oak leaf and acorn earrings that Kate wore on her wedding day. Considering Mr. & Mrs. Middleton commissioned these stunning sparklers from Robinson Jewelers as a wedding gift to Kate, it would certainly be a special token for the sisters to share.
