6-12 Months Before the Wedding

✓ Look and feel. What style wedding do you want? Outdoors, rustic, formal, beach...? Begin entering inspiration images into MyCollection.
✓ The list. Decide how many guests you will invite and begin developing the guest list.
✓ Budget basics. Decide who pays for what and determine the budget.
✓ Where? Research locations and book the space.
✓ When? Set a tentative date and time for the wedding, pending confirmation that the location you want is available.
✓ Select and book the clergy or individual officiating the ceremony.
✓ Assemble your team. Research wedding vendors such as florists, caterers, photographers, cake bakers and bands.  Decide if you want to hire a wedding planner and research options.
✓  Pick your wedding party: maid or matron of honor, bridesmaids, best man, groomsmen and other attendants, and inform them of all relevant dates.
✓ Photographers and videographers. Interview and get references on the memory squad.
✓ Registry decisions. Decide where you'll register and work with your fiancée to select your registry items.
✓ The Gown: start shopping. When the date, time of day, location, style and level of formality of your wedding have been determined, shop for your wedding dress, shoes and accessories.
